If your teeth are warped or crooked you will probably see an orthodontist at some point. The Warren orthodontist has a bag of tricks, including Invisalign invisible braces. That's right — invisible. They are absolutely undetectable! Warren dentist Fotolia_4197106_XS.jpg

The fact that the Warren orthodontist offers Invisalign provides you with a whole lot of benefits over conventional braces. Besides the little joy that nobody will know you have these braces on, you can remove the Invisalign braces so you have a much easier time of oral hygiene after meals. In addition, the Invisalign wonders can be employed on all of your teeth or just a few. For example, if the front teeth are too rotated or too crowded, Invisalign will only be used for the problem area. And then other procedures like veneers, a crown or whatever can be achieved.

These invisible braces are also very handy when you've lost a tooth and the dentist can't do a crown immediately. The open area allows the adjacent teeth to move. What that means, then, is when your crown is put in, because the teeth have realigned, the implant, a necessary part of the crown procedure, will not fit in the room that's left. In this case, a Warren orthodontist will usually employ Invisalign braces in order to put your teeth back in place so he can put in the crown.

This is in the cards only because the Warren orthodontist makes the trays and aligners you need to order. The Warren orthodontist will look at the situation of your teeth, come up with a game plan, and send for just what is needed to effect the change. The aligners are worn 22 hours out of the day and the job of each individual aligner is done in about 14 days. Then another aligner is swapped in its place. The average patient uses 12 to 15 aligners. Some patients have needed up to 30.

You should expect to visit the dentist as frequently as every two weeks. In the course of some of your trips, the Warren orthodontist will strip off some of the enamel from some of the crowded teeth. It will take about a year from start to finish with Invisalign. If you use metal braces, you'll be in them for two years.
